NSW Readers Cup is an exciting statewide literacy competition that brings students together to celebrate a love of reading, teamwork, and friendly competition. Teams of students read a carefully selected set of books and then compete against other schools in their region to answer quiz questions based on those texts. Regional winners advance to the State Final, where those teams will go head-to-head for the ultimate title of NSW State Champions. Whether you are a seasoned reading group or new to book competitions, NSW Readers Cup offers a rewarding and memorable experience for students, teachers, and school communities alike. The competition is being trialled in 2026. As such registrations are by invitation and only for members of the associations mentioned below. In the future, we hope to open the competition to all schools and regions in NSW, with different registration fees for members and non-members.
